PHRYGIA. Apameia. Circa 166-133 BC. Cistophorus (Bronze, 32 mm, 12.65 g, 4 h), circa 150-140. Cista mystica from which snake coils; all within Dionysiac wreath of ivy and fruit. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, monogram of AΠ; to right, head of an elephant to right. Kleiner & Noe 23. Pinder 69. SNG von Aulock 8332. Struck on a broad flan and beautifully toned. The obverse a bit weak and with light porosity on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
